Vilebrequin Celebrates its 50th Anniversary

Despite hitting the half-century, Vilebrequin have never felt younger - and to celebrate they have released a new 50th anniversary collection.

St Tropez swimwear brand Vilebrequin have dived into their archives to produce 50 collectors edition swim shorts, one for each year since their founding in 1971. Holding onto the brands free-spirited, tongue and cheek DNA, the new collection comprises of swim shorts in different fabrics and blocks to represent the evolution of Vilebrequin’s designs. Touching upon period appropriate colours and patterns, homages to early models have been updated to modern tastes, whilst some early designs were too good to change and exact remakes have been made.

Women’s swimwear has not been forgotten and inspiration from the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s have been used to create a colourful, enjoyable, and effortlessly wearable collection of swimsuits, two-pieces and dresses. Following a more recent tradition, some models of swim suits, trunks and clothing are available in matching child sizes also, allowing generations of families to enjoy Vilebrequin’s unique heritage far into the future.
